Description
Southeast Asia, Thailand, 15th - 17th century CE. Two miniature bronze Buddha heads, one in the Sukkhothai style with almond-shaped eyes, heavy lids and arched brows, a long angular nose, and gently smiling mouth, framed by elongated ears and tightly curled hair. The other, a fine rendering of an Ayutthaya Buddha. Â Both on wood block stands. Â Size: Â Heads alone measure 3" x 2-3/4" high. Â Both measure 4" tall on stands.
