Description
SE Asia, Thailand, ca. 17th to 18th century CE. A wonderful bronze face of Buddha! From a cast of a full figure, the rounded face with partially opened eyes, pursed lips, elongated earlobes, hair with repeated rows of tight curls and rounded flaming top-knot emerging from the top of the head. Custom stand. Head itself measures 4" H x 2-1/2" W.
Provenance: Sarkisian Gallery, Denver, CO acquired prior to 1960.
