Kaye Don (1891-1981) World record breaking car & speedboat racer, a pair of Great War Medals each stamped LIEUT. K. DON. R.A.F., & a set of miniatures in an Art Deco style cigarette box owned by Kaye Don along with promotion papers presented to Kaye Don on his promotion from Lieutenant to Officer on the 1st of November 1918, signed & stamped Provenance - The vendor was a friend of the wife of Kaye Don. Kaye Don served in England’s Army and Royal Flying Corps in WWI. A motorcycle racer before the war, he began car racing in 1920 and became the British Motor Racing Champion in 1928 and 1929. Kaye Don also held several World Water Speed Records in the 1930s and received the International Motor Yachting Union Medal.
