Item Details
Description
S.A. OFFICER'S KEPI A high-quality S.A. officer's kepi with crimson side color band. Two grommets per side are present as is a top band of gold braided piping. At front is sewn a gold pebbled button above a center-split chin strap which itself is affixed with two brown side buttons. An early national eagle and swastika insignia is also affixed at front. Within the kepi had a light brown leather sweat band and darker brown lining marked with size ""58"". A small diamond-shaped celluloid sweat shield is sewn in with gold maker's name: ""Hut-Mayer Neuotting"" stamped thereon. In very good condition much better than is usually seen.
