SOLDIERS' THEATER-MADE ""SWEETHEART"" BRACELETS Lot of two American G.I. theater-made ""sweetheart"" bracelets made by soldiers while overseas with the intent of sending them to their girlfriends back in the States. Both bear sheet metal cut aluminum bands sometimes from salvaged Japanese or American aircraft with one example engraved: ""Kwajalein Atoll Marshalls Jan. 31 Feb 12 1944"" (during the battle fort the atoll) the second larger and engraved with a star and leaves and: ""NEW CALEDONIA"". Very good condition.
