[FRENCH THEATRE] Charles Vildrac (1882-1971) French playwright and poet. Born in Paris, Vildrac's first poems were written when he was a teenager in the 1890s. In 1901 he published Le Verlibrisme, a defense of traditional verse. In 1912 he published a collection of prose poems. He was a member of the l'Abbaye de Cr‚Äö√†√∂‚à ö‚Ćteil which he founded with Georges Duhamel. The Prix de po‚Äö√†√∂‚à ö‚Ćsie Charles Vildrac is named for him. Document Signed, 1956, 4pp, for his play "Le Paquebot Tenacity." ALSO SIGNED TWICE, and initialed 3 times by Georges Herbert.
