Description

Art Union of London : A Victorian cast iron Tazza, originally designed by E W Wyon, of Classical form with handles to the sides, cast in bas relief to the interior with a procession of Classical Figures including Hercules, on a waisted spreading socle, stamped to the underside ' ART UNION OF LONDON 1851 '.
One was bought at the Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace and a further 100 were cast from that, they were given as subscription prizes
