A fine Gilt bronze and Enamel pin from the Socialist era of Bulgaria. It was given in commandment of "Active Trade Union Duty" ( an award similar to that for a "Good Citizen"). Made of thick gilded bronze with fine enamel work up front. Soviet symbolism and the words (in Bulgarian) "Za aktivna profsoyuzna rabota" ("Profsoyuz" were Professional or Trade unions, common throughout the Eastern Bloc). High quality work from the late 40's/early50's. Measurements: Approx. 1.3" x 1", weighs about 12 grams or 3/8 oz.
