Superb reverse glass ship portrait. Depicts a British 3-Master brig in full sails. Framed in a black lacquered wood frame. Bronze ornamental hanger up top. Painted in Hong Kong during the early British Crown Colonial Period, when the island was ceded to the United Kingdom and designated as a Free Port (Treaty of Nanking, 1842). British Hong Kong, circa 1840-90's. Measurements: 15.75" x 11.75" framed, the scene is 14" x 10"

Very Good overall. Excellent display. Spots of cracked or missing lacquer on the frame corners
