The icon dates to the period of around 1700 to North Russia. Depicted on the icon are the Saints Zosima and Savatij. Saint Zosima is holding an opened scroll in the hand. Furthermore, both are holding together the depiction of the Soloveckij Monastery, which was founded by both of them. In the upper area of the icon appears above clouds the blessing Christ, holding the gospels book in the left.
The icon is in very well preserved condition with usual traces of age like dryness cracks in the wood and slight changes and losses of the paint. Small touch ups are partially visible. One crossbar of the back is missing. The dimensions are 29.5 x 27 cm. (tm)
