Description
Russia, Moscow, after 1908
Bearing the hallmark of Carl Fabergé Moscow, silver assay 84 Moscow after 1908
Height: 28 cm
Very good condition
Russian cut crystal centerpiece with silver-mounted rim – the elegantly facet-cut baluster vase is perfectly suited to set the mood for the by gone Russian Imperial era
Provenance: German private collection
This vase originates from Moscow from the period after 1908. The vase is of baluster shape with a bulbous lower part that shows cut bands and protruding canalized rim. The main body is facet-cut with fine patterns of star-shaped ornaments and rays stripes, creating great effects of luminosity. The rim is silver-mounted with two of the typical reed beams that are optically held together by crossing bands.
The silver rim is bearing the hallmark of Carl Fabergé Moscow and the silver assay 84. The condition is very good with usual slight scuffs and wears to base. Only one tiny chip is visible at the wall. The silver mounted rim is in fine condition. The total height mounts up to 28 cm. (tm)
