The silver cigarette case originates from the master Petr Milyukov from the period of between 1908 and 1913. The case of rectangular shape with rounded corners is painted on the lid with an en plein view of a traditionally dressed Ukrainian girl in a millet field. The lid is further worked in repoussé with a profile of a boyarina framed by millet heads and sickle. In the distance appears St. Petersburg behind a field with haystacks and birds. The boyarina is additionally set with a ruby, emerald and three diamonds. The back lid is applied with gold initials, Roman numeral XXV, and date June 21, 1913 in Russian. The case possesses of a cabochon garnet thumbpiece.

The cigarette case is marked inside both covers master’s mark of Petr Milyukov (1977-1912. 1877 established a large factory for the manufacture of silverware) and Kokoshnik 84. The silver case is in very good condition. The dimensions are 12.2 x 8 cm. (tm)
