Confederate bowie knife with leathers & sand cast buckle carried by Florida infantry John Heratio Goodson who served with the 5th Florida infantry (Compendium of the Confederate Armies; Florida and Arkansas by Stewart Sifakis). Bowie knife is English, Ricasso is stamped "G Wostenholm & son, Washington works, The Real I XL Knife. The hunters companion. I XL" with stag grips. The buckle with relief eagle and shield, marked with the letter I. Provenance: From the Collection of historian Arthur E. Chapman, Woodstock, Georgia.
