Pre-Columbian, Jalisco, West Mexico, ca. 500 BCE – 500 CE. Pottery male and female conjoined couple, male in front playing a drum, female seated behind the male holding both hands on his shoulders. Wearing cross banded headdresses with central crests, segmented necklaces and noded shoulders. Tan ground with red-orange painted highlights and details, black painted decoration on the drum. Published in Art of West Mexico. Size: 10" H x 6" W
