The AEAA is extremely proud to showcase this next lot of classic and valuable Bohemian Vaseline ladies boudoir fine pressed glass, Art Deco items from the respected Loren (Butch) Morse collection. This lot represents a gorgeous 2000s prominent pressed and cut Vaseline glass nude ladies & fruit figurine flared vase, from the respected Bohemian glass house of Jaromir Schubert (JaS) (see history below). This exquisite vase may be an original Schlevogt mold, which has have been retooled, or completely remade from castings taken from original crystal pieces. The form is definitely 1930s with a flat rim and a (12) facet collar base vase. Our stunning frosted & cut Vaseline example carries the proper JaS oval sticker denoting 2000+, and explodes under black light. This Vaseline figurine constitutes another valuable collectible, with a wonderful Schlevogt Depression era pedigree. Our ladies weigh a hefty 3# 10 oz. and stands 4.75 x 4 x 8.25 inches tall, and is in wonderful condition. Loren Morse was a respected family man and Vaseline collector, and his untimely passing a year ago was a blow to everyone. Jaromír Schubert JaS, Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic, specializes in high quality Replicas of Historical Glass, Pressed Lead Crystal, and Machine Blown Gift Ware, both Plain and Decorated. Mr. Jaromír Schubert started the company in 1990. At first the company manufactured metal, cast and blown costume jewelry. During the years 1996 – 1997, the company began wholesale activities with artistic relief glass. Later Schubert expanded into etched crystal, especially on the domestic market, then quickly expanding into the foreign markets, particularly to the USA and Japan. By ca. 2000, Schubert had become completely immersed in the production of replicas of jewelry + classic figurals from such Art Nouveau and Art Deco period fabled artists as Alfons Mucha, René Lalique, Fouquet and Cartier. A chain of retail outlets were developed, with two of them in Jablonec nad Nisou and one in Liberec, while other stores in Prague, Karlovy Vary, and Marianske Lazne, also marketed JaS wares. With some classic 1930s Bohemian molds recovered, and others taken from casts of originals, Jaromir Schubert continues the historical tradition of glass manufacturers in Jablonec, and returning products to the market which have been irretrievably lost. New glass forms are also being produced.
