Description
One is a print from an original colodion negative, of Custer at agd 25. Photo by Mathew Brade, Jan. 3, 1865. Custer is in "undress uniform", his wide felt hat was captured froma confederte officer, the blue flannel shirt came from a gun boat, the necktie was scarlet and was from the Michigan Calvary Brigade and was adopted by Custer's Third Calvary Division, per Mrs. Elizabeth Custer. With an identifying museum card. The second photograph of a hatless Custer is also a from an original by Mathew Brady. Two portraits in the lot. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" and 8" x 10"
