This pair of table lamps with silvered bases in the Baroque style was manufactured in the third quarter of the 20th century. The feet are designed in the form of antique-like segmented shafts on three voluted feet and embellished with a rich embossed and chased decoration of rocailles, acanthus leaves, egg and dart friezes and shells. A flared spout carries the lamp socket and a ‘Horthense Nice’ lamp shade in cream tussah silk, embroidered with brocade.
The lamps are electrified with one bulb and fitted with a textile cable. The feet show some small losses. The lampshades are in good condition with light wear. During a short-term test, the lamps were functional, but long-term functionality cannot be guaranteed. The height of the lamps, including the shades, is 75 cm. (cko)
