The present set comprises a pair of Baroque style candle wall scones. They are both made of carved wood and reveal one arm in front of a mirror, framed by rocaille decoration. The collectible items are verso fitted with red seals, reading the name of the Italian churchman „JEREMIAS BONOMELLI EPISCOPUS CREMONENSIS“.

The silver painted wall scones were initially gilded, since the red-grounded gesso is partly visible through the paint surface. Both candle arms reveal a predetermined breaking point and the mirror glasses seem to be later added. One wall scone is verso affected by a number of worm holes. Both pieces are verso fitted with four red seals of an Italian bishop. The dimensions are 44 x 24 cm. (cbo)
