Description:
Rare American flintlock pistol by Allen Armstrong of Philadelphia. Some use of engraving, the maker's name appears stamped on the lock, .44 caliber, bbl length 5.25", smooth bore, one piece stock and grips(some striping like curly maple), marked 960 on both sides of wood. The maker A. Armstrong was later a silversmith listed in Philadelphia 1805-16 listed as goldsmith and jeweler. A Kentucky with silver hardware is known to exist.

Very good, one age check in wood at bolt on left side, a few tiny dings. mechanics crisp and working.
