Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chancay culture, ca. 1000 - 1470 CE. Deep ceramic bowl slipped in white pigment with pair of painted black step-motif designs on inner rim. A simple, but elegant example from this ancient Peruvian people who excelled in ceramic creations. Size: 3\"H (7.75cm) x 7-1/2\"D (19cm).
