These chic Paloma Picasso earrings for Tiffany & Co. in 18 karat yellow gold exhibit an overall stylized X-shape with one line tapering off. Conceived in the round, the post is secured with a reticulated base for thoughtful detail. A wonderful addition to any collection, the earrings display a lovely gold color that is a particular proprietary tone distinctive to Tiffany & Co. In good condition with the omega clips with posts in working order and minor signs of wear.

Paloma Picasso (French, 1949- )

As the daughter of famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso and artist-author Francoise Gilot, Paloma Picasso has been surrounded by art since her birth. She has been the subject of many of her father’s paintings, and she began her own career in 1968 when becoming a costume designer in Paris. She began designing jewelry and was noticed by Yves Saint Laurent himself which led to the designing of several accessories for his collections. In 1980, she started designing for Tiffany & Co. and developed a signature style of mixing gemstones, bold designs, and the color red. She eventually launched her own brand, selling fragrances and interior accessories. Picasso still designs for Tiffany & Co. and most recently debuted theVeneziacollection, a celebration of the city of Venice, in 2011.
