Description
Probably a prototype Charles Bailey Designer This unique bank was found by renowned collector Rick Milheim in western Ohio in the early 1960’s. Undeniably, it is the work of Charles Bailey, lead designer at J & E Stevens during the period 1880 - 1895. This is the exact same figure employed by Bailey for his “Christmas Morn” bell toy prototype and stylistically similar to the figures on Old Aunt Dinah and the Fairy. Place a coin upright in the coin slot and press the lever on the boy’s back enough times to hammer your deposit into his barrel. It is approximately 6.75” tall. Material: Cast Iron
