Ushak has an old and famous carpet tradition and belongs to the pioneer cities of the real carpet. It was delivered in large quantities to Transylvania, Christian churches and royal houses in Central and Western Europe in the 17th century. Famous artists of the time, such as Hans Holbein the Younger, depicted these kinds of carpets in their paintings.
The carpet shows traces of use. Two open cuts at the left side. The colors are heavily faded. The pile is evenly thin. Reparations and re-knotted spots are visible. The dimensions are 4.66 x 4.07 m.
