As found. Not examined out of frame. An approximately 1 ½ inch linear area of loss is noted in the top left corner. A 2 inch tear is noted to the bottom center, in the figure’s chest, with corresponding tape seen on the verso and apparent inpainting around. Canvas is sealed on the verso, with paper tape noted around the frame. Mild craquelure is seen all over the canvas, with some heavier horizontal cracking noted to the bottom right. Finish to canvas varies throughout. Scattered areas of the canvas fluoresce under UV light. A handsome scene.
