Martìn Alfonso Vivaldo (1545-1605), a Dominican friar, born in Toledo by the family of Genoese origin and died in Naples; professor of theology in Savona.

Nicolas Cornet (Amiens, 1572 – Paris, 1663) was a French Catholic theologian. He studied at the Jesuit college of Amiens, took the doctorate of theology at the University of Paris, 1626, and soon became president of the Collège de Navarre and syndic of the Sorbonne (faculty of theology). In this latter capacity he reported to the assembly of the Sorbonne, 1649, seven propositions, two taken from Antoine Arnauld's Frequente Communion and five from the Augustinus of Jansenius.

Nicolas de Bourgogne (Nicolaus Burgundus)(1586-1649) was a Belgian theologian and writer, professor of legal history in Ingolstadt (Germany).

Pieter Stockmans (Anversa, 1608 – Bruxelles, 1671) was a Belgian writer, magistrate and Greek scholar, an important representative of the Jansenist movement and professor in the old University of Louvain.

Provenance: Hand-written list of the texts included in this volume at the recto and the verso of the first fly-leaf. Presence of some handwritten notes in pencil. Handwritten inscription "prohibitus" to the upper edge of the two texts of Stockmans.
