This ‘Poker’ games table was designed by Joe Colombo in 1968. It is an example of multi-functional furniture, as it can be used as both a common side table and a games table. This transformation is achieved by unfolding the four token bowls hidden beneath the corners of the table top. Similar features can be found in many of Colombo's designs. His so-called ‘dynamic furniture’ usually appears plain and simple, yet conceals lots of fold-out features. One can see Colombo's background in the automobile industry, in which function and space are key aspects of good design.
The table is 70 cm tall and measures 100 x 100 cm. It is in very good condition.
