A very well presented restored Jaguar Mk.II. Lavishly restored some 6 years ago this visually stunning car has just been refreshed and is in lovely condition. Originally fitted with a 2.4 engine this car has been restored and rebuilt around a series 2 XJ6 4.2 litre engine. Unfortunately the car had a small engine fire in 2013 while parked up and is shows on the HPi report as a category D. Now repaired we are advised this superb 1969 Jaguar Mk.II drives very well, is very fast, handles and stops as it should. 

Restoration details supplied by the vendor:

Body
Stripped to bare metal. the only welding needed was behind the rear bumper. Full respray in 2 pack metallic blue. all chrome replated. The body is completely original and never welded, original jacking points, sills etc, rust free doors.

Engine
Fitted with a series 2 XJ6 4.2 litre engine, fully rebuilt, rebore etc, new water pump, hoses. Fitted with a Kenlow fan. 2in HS8 carbs rebuilt, electronic fuel pump and ignition. Alternator, later type power steering, s/s exhaust, new wiring.

Brakes
All over hauled. 3 pot calipers, new discs and pads, master cylinder and reservoir, hoses and pipes, new cables and servo.

Suspension
Fitted with Poly bushes, Koni classic shocks all round, sub frame mounts replaced. The rear suspension has been converted to coil springs with the desirable Harvey--Bailey kit.

Gearbox
Late type all syncro box, overdrive, new clutch and hydraulics.

Rear axle
3.8 type LSD, all new seals fitted, new prop shaft uni joints.

Wheels
Chrome wires, as new tyres, spare never used.

Interior
Fitted with reclining front seats with head rests, all retrimmed in red leather, inc door cards. All new carpets, boot carpet. [at a cost of over £9,000]. All wood re-laquered, speedo and rev counter rebuilt, new headling, door seals etc.
