Description
An open face pocket watch by L. Broadbent. Hallmarked Birmingham 1894. Signed full plate key wind fusee and chain movement. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Silver case. 56mm. Together with a silver pocket watch case.
Condition
Movement is not currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial shows visible cracks. Dial also shows marks. Hands show marks and tarnishing. Minute hand shows some distortion. Glass has scratches and marks. Hinge attaching the case back is broken and shows signs of a previous repair. As a result the case back is detached. Case shows wear to the decoration as well as marks, scratches, dints and noticeable tarnishing. Case band shows a noticeable dent to four o'clock. Hinges have visible wear to the corners. Pendent has marks and tarnishing. Bow is missing. Associated pocket watch case shows marks, scratches and wear to the corner of the hinges. Bracelet measures approximately cm including case. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold.
