Description
A turn of the century Austrian silver and enamel bell push, the hemispherical form with lilac guilloche enamel overlaid with floral swags rising to the seed pearl rim and hardstone push button. Austrian standard mark and the maker's mark for George Adam Scheid. Diameter measuring 3.7 cm.
Condition
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Many of the pearls are missing. Deterioration visible to the border surround the push button (visible in main image). The button does not sit flush or flat. Mechanism not in working order. Rubbing with loss of definition to some of the decoration. Break to one of the swags which overlays the enamel. Enamel appears in good condition. Austrian standard mark distorted.
