In fine, skillful brushwork and atmospheric coloring the British artist who was born 1859 in Sheffield has captured these two landscape views. Shown are views from his homeland Yorkshire with vast plains, bodies of water and animals or humans that animate as staffage the scenes.

Condition:

Both sheets are presumably laid down on cardboard and affixed into a mat. Overall both sheets are in good condition. The frames are in good condition with slight signs of wear. The mats measure each 39.8 x 50 cm. The framed dimensions are each 45 x 55 cm. (fea)
