Three items of early 20th century and later gem-set

Item Details

Description

Three items of early 20th century and later gem-set jewellery. To include a green beryl and mother-of-pearl brooch, an agate scrolling pendant, together with a colourless paste circular pendant. Length of brooch 4cms. Length of pendants 7.8 and 4cms. Total weight 28.7gms.

Condition

Overall condition good to fair, all with scratches, discolouration and wear to metal in keeping with age. Central green beryl is of closed setting, a number of inclusions are visible without magnification. Mother-of-pearl are well matched, with some discolouration around the collet settings. Colourless pastes to pendant have discoloured settings. Agate pendant is in two sections, one hooking into the other to form a larger pendant. There are chips to a number of the agates. Metal collet setting to the terminal drop is split to the top and would benefit from repair. Mark to paste pendant indicates silver.
