This parcel gilt copper with silver inlay bronze figure is of Dipankara Buddha, a figure who is thought to have existed before the Buddha Gautama. The figure stands on a lotus base with the proper right hand in abhaya mudra and the proper left in varada mudra. He is adorned in an elaborate crown and jewelry, and in robes decorated in relief with and inlaid with silver lotus blossoms. The underside of the copper base as an impressed lozenge and floral motif.
The piece is in good antique condition with gilt rubbing, some possible missing inlaid decoration and areas of residue. The piece measures 9 x 4 x 3 in. (height x width x depth).
