11th-13th century AD. A mixed group of bronze finials, each with tubular socket to the rear; three with beast-head, open jaws with fangs forming the loop, pierced close to the socket mouth; one larger, a feline head, socket pierced in three places. 48 grams total, 25 - 36mm (1 - 1 1/2"). Property of a German collector; acquired in the 1990s. [4, No Reserve]
