Description
After Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989). "Cosmic Cavalier Horseman" - c. 1982, lithograph, pencil signed lower right "Dali" (according to official catalogue raisonne author Albert Fields, this lithograph is a pastiche and was created by Leon Amiel after Dali stopped signing prints and other works on paper). Lithograph depicts traditional Dali imagery of a melting clock at center against a crumbling staircase with tree growing out of it, with a knight on horseback to right and a female figure to left, a single columnar form to middle ground at right, and a mountainous landscape in background at the culmination of long perspective lines to ground. Framed approximately 31.5" x 34.5", sight size approximately 19" x 22".
