Description

20th century. Highly textured figural painting on canvas depicting a dynamic and brightly colored scene with a seven piece jazz band including a piano player, a guitar player, a flutist, three brass players and a woman holding a drum stick in front of large round drum. Apparently unsigned. Unframed approximately 35.75" x 47.8".

Condition

Thick impasto paint layer with cracking, however, areas appear to be stable. No signs of rips, tears or holes. Under black light examination, no signs of in-paint or retouching. Excellent condition overall.
