Item Details

Description

One is circa 1940 copy of a Carlo Bergonzi. Paper label reads Anno 1773, Carlo Bergonzi, fecit in Cremona. There is no neck graft or bushed pegboxes. Finish is flaking, bust to bottom edge. 23.5 inches long. Second has an interior address label for James Reed, Jr of Saint Marys, West Virginia. Born in Glen Lyn, VA and passed away in 2012. According to his obituary he was known for hand crafting fiddles and violins. His father was a well respected musician in that area. Violin is in good cosmetic condition. 23.5 inches in length. Hardshell case is in good used condition with some exterior wear.
