Very good condition
Vincenzo Laera is well-known for his aesthetic sense of composition and light that is influenced by photographers like Helmut Newton. The present portraits belong to the series ‘Dangeons and Dragons‘ and present the male model wearing a centaur head piece designed by the French artist Guillaume Airlaud.
Condition:
Both gelatin silver prints are in very good condition. The image of the larger print measures 59.5 x 45 cm and the sheet size is 64 x 50.5 cm. The image of the smaller print measures 30 x 22.3 cm and the sheet size is 32.2 x 24.5 cm.
Vincenzo Laera (b. 1966)
Vincenzo Laera has been working in the fashion and beauty industry since the age of 16. His interest in photography was aroused by his collaborations with fashion photographers like Koto Bolofo (b. 1959). In 1987 he had the possibility to join the photographer’s team of Helmut Newton (1920-2004), before he moved to New York in 1989. Here, he continued to collaborate with a number of famous photographers, including Irving Penn, Bert Stern and Annie Leibovitz. Laera lives and works in Berlin, today. (cbo)
