Paul Jenkins (1923-2012)
The US-American painter Paul Jenkins moved to New York City in 1948. He there studied at the Arts Students League with Yasuo Kuniyoshi and Morris Kantor. He created primarily abstract paintings in acrylic and oil as well as watercolors on paper. Works by Jenkins are part of international museums and art collections and are on display, for instance, at the Whitney Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Tate Gallery, London and the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris.
