Description
Bruce Lee’s signed Antique French Boxing Flyer with COA “Property of Bruce Lee” on top left (which indicates flyer was from his office at golden harvest, Hong Kong) Previously owned by Bruce Lee and later gifted to his friend George Lee. This flyer graphically compares the difference between English Boxing and French Boxing. Note that French boxing, or SAVATE, which was originally a street fighting technique, uses various combat kicking techniques, something of specific interest to Bruce Lee. This antique boxing poster used to hang in Bruce Lees office at Golden Harvest Studio. Bruce kept this for his personal reference to draw inspiration from, as it displayed an early western forms of combat. This Boxing poster is another striking example of his dedication to learning from every form of combat. Bruce Lee would only sign items “Property of Bruce Lee” if it was a very personal item, not to be sold, or lent. This Antique French Boxing poster has never before been offered at auction. We gratefully thank David Tadman and Taky Kimura for authenticating this original Bruce Lee item.
