Description
Marvel Two-In-One Issue Featuring The Thing #51 "Full House -- Dragons High!" May, 1979. Main Character:
The Thing is a fictional character, a superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a founding member of the Fantastic Four. His trademark orange rocky appearance, sense of humor, blue eyes, and famous battle cry, "It's clobberin' time!", make him a very recognizable comic book character. The Thing's speech patterns are loosely based on those of Jimmy Durante. Actor Michael Bailey Smith played Ben Grimm in The Fantastic Four film from 1994, while Michael Chiklis portrayed the Thing in the 2005 film Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Jamie Bell is scheduled to portray the Thing in 2015's The Fantastic Four. Synopsis:
This issue marks the first ever Floating Super-Hero Poker Game hosted by the Thing, and participated by members of the Avengers and Nick Fury. However, the game is cut short when reports of an attack on the SHIELD helicarrier are reported.Hearing the news, the Thing, Wonder Man, Ms. Marvel, Beast, and Nick Fury take the Fantasticar to stop the invasion. Arriving there, they find that General Pollock is the attacker, seeking to obtain the Sky Dragon weapon and also Ultimate Annihilator. However, the members of the Avengers, and Ben all help defeat Pollock's attacking army and capture Pollock himself and put him into custody. After everything is cleaned up, the heroes return to Ben's apartment, where all except for Wonder Man are too tired to do much else other than sleep. Cover Artists:
