Item Details

Description

A standard Keystone “Casey” wire bottom frame with the 1903 patent date. Complete with some light, typical pitting. Keystone Caseys are often pitted. Standard PRR stamping on the lid shoulder. Complete with geared KC brass burner where the wick raising is done by rotating the bottom. The gear is not engaging the burner wick assembly correctly. You'll need to tighten the burner a little to get the gear into position. The great news is that this extended base globe with a rectangular panel has PRR cast in 3/4” tall bold letters. This is a fine older globe with a slightly turned up upper rim. Globes like this have been dated to the 1890s. The globe also has mold release marks on the interior at the top. It's a really nice globe.
