For years Paul Eleuteri Serpieri has sought his ideal woman, and this beautiful book of illustration testifies to faithfully throughout the evolution of its magnificent creature. Born in Venice, Serpieri complete their studies of painting and became a pupil of Renato art. Big names include Gottuso then devote themselves with the first comic strips of genre western, on Lanciostory magazine. But with Druuna which is fully realized, and dares bring the comics toward borders that at the time, the eighties, were still unexplored. The phenomenal graphic creation of Serpieri is the daughter of more of an afterthought and weeks of tests and the drawings, and the final result is certainly not dictated by his great love for the woman, always seen as excessive and opulent. In creating his fantastic universe, Serpieri has declared to be inspired by the ever-present myth of the beautiful and of the Beast, myth that led up to its extreme consequences.
