A GROUP OF SIX FRAMED GERMAN HAND COLORED MARINE AND SHELL PRINTS, CIRCA 1844-1859, from the illustrated almanac Das Buch der Welt published in Stuttgart by Carl Hoffmann between 1842 and 1871, comprising plate 22 from the 1844 edition of four mollusc shells with engraver's signature at bottom, Lith. Arst. v. C. Schach in Stuttgart; plate 32 from the 1846 edition of eight mollusc shells; plate 26 from the 1857 edition of gnarled trees and aquatic fauna with a sailing ship in the background; plate 36 from the 1858 edition of a lobster and conch with aquatic fauna; plate 8 from the 1859 edition of a conch shell and aquatic fauna; and plate 38 from the 1859 edition of mollusc shells and aquatic fauna. All hand colored and mounted in line ruled mats with giltwood frames. (6) Height: 20 1/2" Width: 18"
