Harmon entered the service of the North West Company in April of 1800. He traveled to Lake Winnipeg, then to Assiniboine, where he stayed for seven years. He later went to Fort Williams, Athabasca, and New Caledonia. Includes an extensive vocabulary of the Cree language.
