Memorial item printed on heavy stock paper, with black borders. With picture of president William McKinley and the Temple of Music in Buffalo, New York; embossed monument at lower right. 16.7x21.5 cm (6¾x8½").

Memorial item for William McKinley the 25th president of the United States. It shows the Temple of Music in Buffalo, New York where he was assassinated Friday September 6th, 1901. His last words to his wife is quoted as follows: "Good-bye all, good-bye. It is God's way. His will be done, not ours. Nearer my God, to Thee." Apparently printed after McKinley's death in 1901 on a stock blank form bearing a copyright date of 1897.

Condition

Light soiling and wear, a few damp-stains, left side browned, glue residue to rear; very good.
