Description
Chinese T- Fret Red Ground Cloisonne Enamel, of baluster form in the Ch'ien Lung style, with Trois fleurs decor throughout, h. 10.5". Old paper export label on bottom "Made in China". Late Qing, early republic - 20th c. Provenance: A Summerville, South Carolina Private Collection. During the reigns of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), cloisonne improved and reached its artistic summit. Colors were more delicate, filigrees more flexible and fluent, and scope was enlarged beyond the sacrifice-process wares into snuff bottles, folding screens, incense burners, tables, chairs, chopsticks, and bowls.......Measures 17" circumference, 10.5" tall and weighs 1 pound, 10 oz
