Description
Matched pair of Older Chinese Cloisonne Small Vases. Center medallions decorated with Prunus blossom and calligraphy pens. Gilded rims and interior. Turquoise and cream with turquoise bases. Each 4.25 tall. Provenance: A Summerville, South Carolina Private Collection. During the reigns of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), cloisonne improved and reached its artistic summit. Colors were more delicate, filigrees more flexible and fluent, and scope was enlarged beyond the sacrifice-process wares into snuff bottles, folding screens, incense burners, tables, chairs, chopsticks, and bowls.......Each measures 2.25x2.25 and 4.25" tall and combined weight is 10 oz.
