These two big brass hurricane candlesticks probably date from the 1960s and were designed by Bjørn Wiinblad (1918-2006). Wiinblad was an internationally known designer, stage designer, painter and artist from Denmark, who collaborated, among others, with the porcelain manufactory Rosenthal, presenting his extensive oeuvre at international exhibitions. The two candlesticks in rare design will be delivered without glass shades. The candlesticks are in a generally good condition, showing light oxidation and wear. The heights without glass shades are 39 and 56 cm. (cko)
