A floral inlay can be found on the middle of the lower front. Sides and front are provided with faceted glass. A geometric art nouveau ornament framed by lead came is shown on the front. The glazing is flanked by geometric brass moldings. A parted gable can be found on the upper front of the mahogany case. The Symphonion has two barrels, two combs and a drum. It works via a winch and weights on the side crank.
The Symphonion is in good original condition. The surface is partially rubbed and there are some blemishes on the base. The left sides shows slight traces of inactive worm infestation. On the upper middle a brass plaque can be found "Zasulze the merits of 1904". The dimensions of the case are 248.5 x 97 x 49.5 cm. (bed)
