Good condition

This Indo-Persian Khula Khud helmet was made in the 19th century and consists of damascened steel and fabric inside. The helmet has a hemispherical shape with a nose guard in the front center. In addition two plume holders and a central spike crown the center of the helmet. At the lower edge a chain guard for maximum protection to the wearer is visible and a a band of calligraphic cartouches adorns the area above. The helmet comes with an arm protection and a round shield. The surface of the pieces is decorated with floral ornaments.



Condition:

The set is in good condition with usual signs of age and wear. The total height of the helmet without chain measures 30 cm. The length of the arm protection is ca. 39 cm and the diameter of the shield measures 46 cm. (lvp)
